I need to book flights at dusk more often. Flying home tonight as the sun set was the most amazing horizon I've ever seen. I was on the west side of the plane and I watched the horizon the whole way home. You could see the whole visible range of colors peeking over the edge of the earth off in the distance. So for almost a full hour I watched a fantastic sunset on the way home. And then we flew directly over downtown Atlanta on the way into the airport so I got a great bidr's eye view of the whole GT campus. Atlanta at night seems almost magical from way up in the sky. So many twinkly lights on streets I can name from 5000 feet up. I suppose some people already realize that, but let's just say I had a great flight home from DC tonight.
