No more Rob and Jonathon ever again!!! Woo!!!!

Saturday, April 26, 2003

Apparently I'm old now because I'm 22. Hmm... I don't feel any older. Maybe it's a girl thing that 22 is old. If anything I feel younger than when I told people I was 21. That makes no sense, but that's the way I see it. Probably because there's no significance to turning 22 whatsoever.

Hilarious!

Happy birthday you're not special
You're getting older but not much better
We all want to embarass you
That's why we're singing this song
So happy fucking birthday you're not speical
You're not special

-NOFX, The Birthday Song from the Surfer 7"

Happy 22nd B-day to me...

Also, it was awesome seeing Kristin on Friday, even if she was sort of in a daze from having too much sex with her boy-toy Lance. ;)

And speaking of Wendy's, teh Wendy's by my new apartment has teh doublestack on teh $0.99 menu as well. i thought it was just my current Wendy's, but man was I excited to find that out yesterday. Also, sales tax in Cobb appears to be only 5% instead of 7% which means that instead of my Wendy's tab beign $3.18 every time I go, it will only be $3.12. That's 6 cents every time I eat at Wendy's!! That's like saving probablt 36 cents a month which means that in 3 months i'll have saved enough money to get a whole extra item! Yea!!!

You'd think that Papa John's would have some sort of "Jesus Day" special or something for those of us who can't (or don't want to) be with our families today. You know, like, large 2 topping for $7.99 but only if the toppings come in the shape of a crucifix or some such thing. Oh well. Looks like Wendy's for me again. Like I ever coudl get tired of Wendy's ;)

Why I can't wait for May: A couple of kick-ass sequels (X-Men 2, The Matrix Reloaded), no more working for stupid soul-less corporations, no more Rob and Jonathon. Woo!!

I totally went swimming today. Holy crap the water was cold. I mean, like, my body went into shock when I first got in. I dunked my head and when I came up the whole world was spinning because the cold was such a huge shock. But after the tingling of my blood vessels contracting stopped and my body temperature dropped 10 degrees, it was great! The best part however was getting out and laying on the warm brick patio in teh late afternoon sun. Man that was toasty. I think I'd like to be a lizard in my next life.

Why Jasmine rocks: because she brought me a pinwheel and some Carebears to cheer me up last night after Kevin kicked me off my own website. Yay for Jasmine! Boo for Kevin.

Am I the only who thinks its ridiculous that I found a pizza box under teh kitchen coutner that was dated 1/30/03? I mean, seriously, that was 2.5 months ago. There is no reason a pizza box should stay under the counter that long. That's just plain sick.

"We're trying to assemble a staff that is pretty tight because we really feel like chemistry is the one thing PR shows that most zines don't, and I guess none of us really feel like you're a part of it." - Kevin

I knew that D in Basic Chemistry my freshman year would come back to haunt me... (children, today we're going to learn about using humor as a defense machanism)

So I've now lost 2 jobs in 10 days. New record for me. After getting "fired" at Coke on Marh 31, I got booted off the PunkROCKS.net staff yesterday evening. I don't give a shit about Coke, but getting kicked off the website I helped create was a pretty harsh blow. I'm not sure whether I'm upset, or just depressed. But either way, I only want what's best for the site, and if that means that it continues without me, so be it. I'm going to go cry in the bathroom now.

Hooray! I got my federal tax refund today. I think we all know what i'm getting done this weekend! And I'll even have money left over too. Yay!

Monster Garage is the best "reality" tv show ever. i hate to even use that word, btu that's what it is in a way. more like a documentary of makign a ridiculously cool vehicle out of a normal boring vehicle. this week Jesse became an ordained minister of the ULC just like me and built a mobile chapel out of a suburban with a real working organ. jesse rules my world.

I'm beginning to remember why I hate moving: cause i have way too much crap. So far things seem to be goign pretty well though, i've boxed up a bunch fo stuff. I've got maybe 1 more box worth of books and another box worth of other crap. Then a few posters which will fit nicely in by carboard tube. and of course my furniture, computers, and clothes. So I think I'm doing better than usual when it comes to packing and moving, but I guess the true test will come in 3.5 weeks when i try to carry all this stuff down a flight of stairs, load it into a uhaul, and then unload it and carry it up a whole new flight of stairs all in the same day. Goody.

Jasmine sleeping over has so many positive ramifications. I'm going to sleep at a regular time and getting up in plenty early to make it to work on time every day. It's a lot harder to hit the snooze button 15 times when someone else is depending on you to wake them up.

MMM, giant chocalate chip cookie... *drool* thank you catering for "throwing away" all the extra food from this morning's meeting. especially the cookies. which got thrown out first. onto my desk. ;)

Is it a bad sign when you go to work in the morning with the intention that the highlight of the day will be your afternoon meeting from 3 to 5? Well, apparently the co-ops were invited to the meeting, but not actually meant to attend since it's abotu the reorganization and we're all being let go so it doesn't apply to us. So we were told to just go home instead. Darn. Nothing quite as nice as being home by 2:15 with a clear conscience.
